For our fourth challenge, Cooking, we have decided to go back to where it all started. To that first moment when the Noir Elixir crossed the boundary of your lips. That moment of fireworks as its complex flavour exploded across your tastebuds. That riot of experience that binds us all as discerning Marmite lovers.
We want you to be inspired to create and share your finest recipes with your fellow Marmarati. Breakfast, Brunch, Elevensies, Lunch – any mealtime suggestions are welcome and all morsels will be considered! To be considered a true pioneer of Marmarati gastronomy we need only to know one thing. That you have included Marmite or Marmite XO as an essential part of your recipe.
Our Judge for this challenge is long term Marmarati Member Genea Waterson, who was handpicked from a small competition we held in a secret group for the Marmarati to converse in private - a forum that you too will have the pleasure of attending should you be successful with your entries. We asked those gathered within to submit a recipe and the results that flew in from across the country via carrier pigeon were stunning in their ambition, born from exquisite and expert knowledge of the Marmarati’s sticky mistress, Marmite XO. After much deliberation it was decided that Genea’s overall dish had to be shared for no finer smorgasbord of elements had come together since the Spring of ’63, when one George Wallflower created no fewer than 135 individual Marmite canapés for a secret visit from a foreign dignitary.
Such is the sheer breadth and audacity of her main course menu that we simply couldn’t fit it all here. If you would like to see (and indeed download) her recipe do have a look at its new home on our delightful blog. For now, marvel at the element that binds it all, XO encrusted Sea Bass, and stir your imagination until your own recipes come flowing forth. Good luck on your culinary journeys, dear friends, and submit the results to us below!
